Who you are today, your personality and your values, depends on the past events that shaped you.
You can always find connections between a present thought or feeling and a past event, no matter how far away it might seem. Explanations for present events can be found by going through some memories, and this practice shows you how to do that. By trying this you will be able to reinterpret yourself, by learning not to judge your actions but to accept and understand them.
You present is influenced by your perception of the future and everything it ‘should’ encompass. A family, job or friends – factors subjective to everyone and projected back into the present to enable us to set goals to achieve them.
It is my attempt to recall past memories and cast future expectations to try to explain my present actions.
